M30×1.5 NC thermal actuator — 110–230 V AC

A high‑quality, normally‑closed thermal actuator for underfloor heating manifolds and radiator valve bodies with an M30×1.5 thread. The housing uses anti‑flammable PC/ABS, and the threaded collar is stainless steel for durable, service‑friendly installs. Works cleanly with SIMO.io Relay Module control and room thermostats for individual zone heating.

TL;DR

Mains wiring. Isolate power, follow local electrical regulations, and use a licensed electrician where required. Drive the actuator via a SIMO.io Relay Module channel rated for mains switching.

How it works

Installation

  1. Leave the red spacer in place to hold the valve open during mounting.
  2. Screw the actuator onto the M30×1.5 valve body and hand‑tighten.
  3. Remove the red spacer once mounted; the actuator will now close the valve at rest.
  4. Wire the actuator to a SIMO.io Relay Module channel; supply is 110–230 V AC.
  5. In the SIMO.io app, bind the zone thermostat to that relay output.
  6. Test: call for heat; the relay powers the actuator; the valve opens.

Fail‑safe wiring (recommended)

Use the relay’s NC contact. Route the actuator supply through the relay’s normally‑closed (NC) contact. If the Game Changer or control logic fails but mains power is still present, the relay de‑energizes, NC closes, and the actuator receives power—opening the valve so heating continues. If rooms run too warm, turn down the boiler’s flow temperature until service is restored. Your thermostat logic should account for the inverted contact (energize = heat off).
