Relay Module
The Relay Module switches on/off loads across your wire‑first SIMO.io installation. Rated for 10 A at up to 250 V AC, it’s a dependable way to control lights, valves, pumps, blinds, and more.
TL;DR
- Contacts: NC–COM–NO; blue LED shows engaged state.
- 10 A @ 250 V AC; 10 A @ 30 V DC; onboard 10 A disposable fuse.
- Transistor‑driven coil; load side isolated by relay contacts.
- Built‑in surge absorption (dual MOVs) protects against spikes from motors, valves, and coils.
Key Features
- Versatile control: switch on/off lights, valves (HVAC/watering), pumps, blinds, gates, and suitable appliances.
- Clear connections: three‑terminal layout (NC, COM, NO) labeled on the PCB for quick installs; blue LED indicates relay engaged.
- Protection: 10 A disposable fuse for overcurrent events helps protect the controller and connected devices.
- Isolation: transistor‑driven coil with relay contact separation between control and load circuits.
- Dual surge suppression: MOV surge absorbers across COM–NO and COM–NC tame voltage spikes from inductive loads, reducing arcing, noise, and wear. This extends relay life and helps keep downstream gear safe.

Wiring Examples
Lighting (NO): Line → COM; NO → load Line; Neutral direct to load. Relay engaged = light on (NO closes).
Fail‑safe (NC): For critical loads that must be on at rest, use NC; relay engaged opens the circuit.
Valve control: Drive valve coil via NO; provide neutral/common as per device spec. Consider flyback protection if device requires it.
Choose NO vs NC based on safety and behavior requirements.
Change the module, not your weekend
Every SIMO.io PCIe‑style module is field‑replaceable. Your logic is bound to the port—not to throwaway device IDs—so if a module ever fails or you’re upgrading, pull it off the rail, snap in the replacement, and you’re done. The Game Changer board provides the same signals over that PCIe port instantly, so scenes, schedules, and security rules stay intact. No re‑pairing. No reprogramming. No hunting through automations. Keep a small set of spares and restore full function in minutes. That’s professional serviceability by design.
SIMO.io — Smart Home Supremacy. Every module serves with quiet precision—ruled locally by The Game Changer board, commanded by your SIMO.io hub (local or virtual)—for protective, reliable, inevitable control.
